2 15.5 oz cans black beans (do not rinse)
1 tablespoon vegetable oil or bacon grease (I personally prefer bacon grease)
1 small white onion, chopped
3 garlic cloves, minced
2 jalapeno peppers, seeded, minced

  • Step 1. Sauté the chopped onion, garlic, and jalapeno until softened, about 1-2 minutes.
  • After it, Add black beans (including liquid), green chiles, cumin, chili powder, and cayenne. Stir to combine, bring to a simmer, and cook for about 10 minutes.
  • Step three, Remove from heat.
